About this deal

Their prices are rediculous. Yes, the first batch number bottles smell really good and then the watery tone down beggins till a new Miss Dior will come. Does anybody from you remember that Miss Dior 2012-14 (released on 2012 till October 2017) used to have ABSOLUTE de parfum and not ESSENCE from it's notes. I have a bottle of my signature that still smells 95% similar to the first day and that's because absolutes are more oily, expensive and really intense. Picture this : your beautiful home is clean, and you’ve just had a relaxing bath. You are all cozy on your sofa under a luxurious cashmere blanket. On your coffee table, you have a big bouquet of fresh peonies, some vanilla and apricot macaroons and a hot cup of rose tea. You feel peaceful, relaxed, cozy, and oh so feminine. This is what Miss Dior edp 2021 smells like to me. Good buy Poison Girl EDP, no explanation, no excuse, no reformulation. But are you crazy? Enjoy some silly editions that might smell 90% similar to the original but they become in less than 2 hours a skin scent. You guessed correctly, Poison Girl EDT & Unexpected EDT (another fail that it's not only weak but it's also bubble-gummy).

My bottle is fairly new, and the perfume is an almost-clear, slightly pink colour within the bottle. When I spray it, I'm hit immediately with some wonderfully syrupy florals. The iris is the strongest accord to my nose for the first ~30min, but the slightly spiced scent of a peony is there too adding some dimension to this opening. These aren't realistic green or white florals, but an evocative interpretation of them. It feels like the perfect expression of a prototypical 'young woman's perfume.' I also get red plum here -- specifically, a red plum with just a hint of that ripe acidity. I love it. From there, this scent dries down into a deliciously spicy vanilla, with delicious hints of rose, apricot, and more of the plum. This scent always keeps a bit of an acidic edge on my skin, but I think it makes it pop and counteracts the sweetness just slightly. When I sampled an older bottle at the store, the liquid perfume in the bottle was visibly darker, and this central phase in the perfume came out almost immediately. I don't think I'll let mine macerate too long, because I kind of love the opening! But the opening notes are bright and cheerful, a peony/rose freshness, some fruitiness that I can't properly identify as either apricot or peach, but with a touch of tart sourness to it. Like a sour plum, although that's not a note here. There's a slight powderiness too that perhaps is the iris, although again, I can't distinguish iris exactly.I'm having to work too hard to convince myself I like it. I don't hate it, but it's proved a useful tool to add to the evidence that I'm not into woody/tonka bases.

The fragrance itself is nice. I get an apricot-rose opening with a good bit of vanilla/tonka/sandalwood in the drydown. It's not outstanding in any way, just a nice fragrance that smells...nice. Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is decorated with a new haute couture bow made of poignard fabric with a unique assortment of flowers. Under the bottle, the emblematic motif of Miss Dior is engraved in the glass. Dior (owned by Louis Vitton) are on a watering-down spree; this is a glorified skin-scent, in the same ballpark as Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, which is better than this, but is still watered-down to hell. I am already tired of writing how awful Dior became. When first saw the notes of the New-new-NeW-nEw Miss Dior 2021 I was like: Bravo you little brainiacs. You made an edition that has some of the strong notes of the previous Miss Dior 2017 plus what it still sells from them. Yes, that's Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet EDT, the smell that almost all Miss Dior line for body care has. Franchois said: I added some fruitiness from apricot & peach. Tragic is a kind word I can use here. Dior is reformulating their perfumes too much so that the perfumes should have new names. Dior should change their name to 'Flankerville' the house of cheap reformulations. They have killed their iconic high quality fragrances.I actually really like it. I love syrupy, gourmand perfumes and I love rose, peony, iris, vanilla and tonka so I find it really pleasant.

I've decided to make an effort to use up and review my perfume samples, starting with 2021 Miss Dior. I'll say this; this isn't a linear scent. Then they destroyed my signature scent with a "NEW" edition of Miss Dior 2017. WTH. I was as sad as excited to try it, meanwhile I had already Poison Girl EDP to my collection and Franchois Demachy was like top in my eyes. First spray was like, oh no, I lost my money on a floral blah, not only my signature. Miss Dior perfume from the house of Dior has experienced many reincarnations. The new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum comes out in September 2021, announced as the rebirth of this fragrance full of love and hope. Rollerballs? Jesus, I just forgot. Take as an example Chanel. How similar was Miss Dior EDT to the all time classic Coco Mademoiselle EDP? 90% at least, some times I could even confuse them but Miss Dior EDT was warmer and sweeter while CM-EDP was and is colder and fresher. Chanel never reformulated or enough their masterpieces to a point that can make their crowd angry. They still bring new editions of such a masterpiece that I took as an example, see after EDP: EDT, extrait de parfum, pure parfum, Intense, L'eau...without discontinue the original. The magic of a chypre perfume that everyone can love at least in some point of their lives is classic.

If you want to stand out from the crowd and assert your dominance over the fragrance "normies," don't get this. But if you want to blend in and smell a bit better than most people wearing similar scents, this is pretty nice. It might feel « generic » or « mainstream » to some. I don’t really know what this means or why it’s such a bad thing. If you loved the 2017 version you will probably be dissapointed because it's soft and doesnt smell like the old version but if you can't stand patchouli at all like me maybe you should give this new version a try.

BUT do not compare it to the other previous versions as that one is clearly completely different . The older version was a sister of coco Mademoiselle , a rose patch scent , and a beautiful one at that. Too bad it’s gone , or is it still available ? I love this, really love it… But it stands in its own. It should have been a flanker with added vanilla and peach & No patch , patchouli was the heart of the old one. A slightly different name would have been great. And keep the old one as well. Iris, vanilla, sandal wood and tonka bean. What can I say, this is in the middle of sexy and elegant. Always get compliments. Everyone wanna know what I wear. Heads turn around and smile. People at the restaurants tryna get closer to me. It’s okay scent, kinda generic, always similar to something else. But miss Dior has its own personality that other perfume can’t give. Opulence, adorable and luminous. Warm, friendly and sweet. Mmm, I quite like this. I've had a sample for a couple of years and never bothered with it. It just says Miss Dior, no year or anything so I assume it's this one as I've only lived in this flat since 2020. I really think that the people who claim poor performance are just anosmic after smelling it for a short period of time, similar to how some people cannot perceive the musk note in some Narciso Rodriguez fragrances. Now to what we were going; I am of the opinion that Demachy's farewell from Dior was in style, each of his latest releases deserved to be more "new releases" than flankers of old successes, say J'adore eau de parfum Infinissime, Sauvage Elixir and Dior homme sport 2021 three magnificent creations that not only smell very good but also have a quite remarkable performance, unfortunately Miss Dior 2021 does not live up to its name, it could perfectly well be a new launch and its aroma is not bad (I do not think there is bad perfumes but simply, either we don't like them or they go with us) but unfortunately it falls halfway, the new Miss Dior is a jovial and youthful fragrance but it can perfectly be worn by someone 50 years old without clashing. When we just spray , the first impression is good, it conveys a more "pink" and cheerful color thanks to the peony, rose petals glazed with vanilla and the fruity notes of apricot and peach, the iris gradually is taking center stage and makes this composition quite powdery accompanied by a white musk that at times is quite incisive.
