They navigate their feelings and this new dynamic, facing their fear and wants while building their relationship together and with each other. I finished this a few days ago, but I've been sitting on writing a review because I just couldn't find the right words to describe just how AMAZING this was!! He's this golden retriever, unapologetically obsessed with his woman type of man and I loved him ! He's also Caleb best friend... What I mean by that is that it has all the potential to go off in a very big way. Like Guy Fawkes style explosion. This Gunpowder Plot was also foiled. We’re told over and over how Rachel is a liability, how knowing her and being associated with her murky past will drag all the others down with her. It’s all very cloak and dagger… And then it’s all a bunch of smoke and mirrors. There's a place for each of them to explore their love and needs since this is new to everyone, and it all just fits perfectly !

That said, it does enough. It’s a long read (as I’ve mentioned… many times) but I don’t think that should deter you if you’re into your sports romances. I had expected the romance between Jake and Rachel, because it’s where this whole thing started. But it was a whole lot more than that.Also, they never went on dates....Um, okay 😅 And, why was Caleb hesitant about having kids? No idea. Why did he stiffen when Jake was all excited about having kids with Rachel? Like, what am I suppose to understand by that body language? Jealousy? Because, this was before their confession. Caleb, the moody hot af queer, 4 times pierced *there* Daddy, also known as the equipment manager of the team. Two moments, I wish was written differently : One, Rachel shouldn't have outed Caleb and Jake to Mars, no matter the situation. It just wasn't her place to do, especially since Jake didn't even realise it then. Jake Compton – the golden retriever defenseman who loves ice cream and bird watching. Also best friend to Caleb.

I didn’t really know what I was walking into. I read the prequel novella and LOVED it, but it did NOT prepare me for this lol. Ilmari; Devoted, Strong, Levelheaded, Determined, Loving and Loyal. This man who couldn’t trust a soul put his life on the line to trust Rachel with his secret. He fell in love with her in an instant, accepting her and the love she had for both Jake and Caleb, opening his heart to them. He showed nothing but strength and loyalty to all of them. Two, same time Mars said he wanted to see how she is with the other two, and he didn't mean sex. But, then yup she let's Caleb touch her and wanted Mars to watch. Sure Mars contented but I feel Caleb came off too strong on him, and Rachel didn't even say anything. But, that's not the main thing though. Same scene extends to Jake joining them, and nobody asks Mars to consent whether or not he wants to watch. But, Caleb just goes on bossing them for more. These man are ready to test my limits, but this is my chance to prove myself, and I'm not risking it for anything. I can't fall for a player, let alone three. But if love is a game, these guys are playing to win.
