I don't know how all this could be linked to crossdreaming, but I have noticed it is a bit easier for me to meet aspie fellows in the crossdreaming community than in an average social environment (pls dear fellow-crossdreamers-aspies, rise ur hands!) I have grown as an introverted child who was told to be totally spaced out and daydreamy. I had a few friends who didn't care too much about my awkardness but usually I have a history of rejection and misunderstanding. The new term was coined not only because autogynephilia and transvestic fetishism are seen as offensive, but because they fail to adequately capture the behaviour they try to describe. Autoandrophilia" is not a thing. It is a made up and misleading pseudo-scientific term, referring to an explanation for crossdreaming for which there is no proof, and which has not been accepted by the broad medical community. What did you think about this article? How far are you along these crossdressing steps? Leave a comment.

The term has taken on a life on its own. While it originally referred to sexual fantasies, crossdreamers found that that was a too narrow perspective, and included non-sexual interests, expressions and identity traits as well. Basically, I buy into Anne Lawrence’s idea that my late-onset transsexualism is a falling in love with myself as a woman – the crossdreamer equivalent of a hetero falling in love with an external woman. However, if this is the case, the whole obsessive/dreamy/giddy love aspect should wear off. It’s human nature that any strong feeling – the giddiness of initial love, for example – wears off, and is replaced with a more down to earth feeling.

Step 1: Buy Women’s Versions of What You Already Wear

Ya know, in some ways I know my mind is still male. On the other hand, due to much study in gender psychology, I know in many ways that my mind is wired very much female. I can point to many examples that I've discovered that the way I am is very much in step with the way women traditionally are.

The XXY condition is actually one of the most common chromosome abnormalities in humans (1 in 500 males), and XXY male bodied persons do not necessarily display the symptoms Tina describes. This means that there could be XXY crossdreamers out there who do not know they have Klinefelter. stereotyped and repetitive motor mannerisms (e.g., hand or finger flapping or twisting, or complex whole-body movements) Even when they go out in groups, you will see how encouraging they are to each other — a trait shared by genetic women. They downplay the ‘shape’ and ‘passing’ issues, considering these to be irrelevant, and, instead, focus on the nice attire they have. They envy someone’s heels, but not their legs! I believe this group is the one that is most balanced, and, as a result, they are probably among the happiest – and, very likely, they’re also the majority of the crossdressers. Now, what researchers have found for years is that crossdressers in general, but certainly many transgendered people (pre- and post-op included), is that they are, on average, very creative people. Most are even rather talented. Most are considered above average in intelligence (although, sadly, in many cases, specially in underdeveloped countries, they have below-average education due to discrimination, and are very limited in what they can actually do). While this is true in some cases (classic trans kids forced to live as their biological gender) I can’t relate to this narrative. Not only did I never want to cross genders when I was young, but even my sexual behaviour was only partly cross gender. I was indulging in disjointed fantasies that contained feminine elements (i.e. transvestic, behavioural etc.) but wasn’t imagining being a complete woman. The Spanish language is the second most spoken language in the world by natives, with almost 500 million speakers. In recent years many Spanish-speaking groups have become increasingly committed to the dissemination of discourses that question the human rights of the LGBTIQ population, which raises the need to map both groups and discourses. This would be the starting point for analyzing transnational relations and alliances between Spanish-speaking anti-rights groups and Spanish speaking anti-rights group. I am not saying this because “sissy” fantasies are wrong or amoral. Fantasies are fantasies and we should only be held accountable for our actions, but many MTF crossdreamers do dream about becoming strong, intelligent, independent women — also in bed. It also provides an explanation for something else, which I found actually quite interesting, as it applies to so many crossdressers, that I wonder why it was never fully researched before: escapism.
